When Tuc Watkins wore patriotic speedos for July 4!
When I ran into Tuc Watkins at the Daytime Emmys in 2014, I lamented the fact that One Life to Live was out of production because one of show’s traditions was that for Fourth of July-themed episodes, the hunky actor’s character of David Vickers would wear a red, white and blue speedo.
Tuc joked that while he might not be wearing the speedo on the show, that didn’t mean he wouldn’t be wearing one at home!
Here are a few reminders of just how good, and patriotic, Tuc/David looked on Independence Day! The middle shot is from summer 2010 when two of the soaps hottest hunks – Watkins and David Gregory – wore patriotic speedos to a Fourth of July barbecue.
They have a bit of a catfight over who is fitter with Watkins, as Vickers, saying to his younger rival: “When did you stop working out? You look kind of spongy.”

Funny how “David”‘s suit has the stars perfectly placed in the front, and then other pictures have the other actor is wearing Tuc’s and Tuc is wearing David Gregory’s suit. What a great story arc that I am dreaming of…
