Silverthorne says:
Considering all the known letters in LGBTQS – P – & XYZ I am more prone to just call us QUEER and leave it at that. So if someone gets up tight because they feel left out? That my friend is just to DA&&ED bad get over it.
Ron says:
Siverthorne….. I could not disagree with you more…. I absolutely hate the word “queer”…. In my home I am neither “abnormal” or an “oddity”. I was raised in “hicksville” Alabama and was called “queer” all of my early years. Believe me, it was NOT a term of affection…. Why Gay or Homosexual people today think it is OK to be labeled as such, sickens me. This is the same as Black people calling each other “niggas”…. Just WRONG!!!!
George says:
Yes but in embracing “queer” we are saying, “yes, we are abnormal, and our abnormality is better than being a raging homophobe like all you ‘normal’ people.”
I think too many gays have lost their pride in being different, they all want to be “masc” and “straight-acting.” That’s not pride, that’s shame.
